Myryad Smart My-Link® Communications Bus

All Myryad separates, both MX and Z Series are fitted with My-Link input/outputs using standard RCA phono connectors. In a system, each product is My-Linked to the next – in daisy-chain fashion – using low cost interconnects. The Integrated Amplifier or Preamplifier (see list below) is always the “controller” in a My-Linked system, which can also include a CD Player, Tuner and other compatible Myryad products. My-Link has three functions:

1. It routes IR remote commands between units so that one can still respond even its own IR receiver is obscured.

2. When the controller is switched out of standby (from the front panel or remote control) all other MyLinked units will also switch out of standby. In the same way, switching the controller into standby will return the whole linked system to standby.

3. Myryad Smart My-Link® adds a range of system integration functions to make using a Myryad system easier and more intuitive:

3.1 The system will power on and select CD input from a single key press, such as CD drawer open or CD play – after which the CD player will carry out the specified function.

3.2 When the remote control Mute key is pressed to Mute the amplifier, the CD player will automatically be paused. When Mute is pressed again the CD will be switched to play so the music will resume without missing anything.

3.3 When a connected Tuner or CD player is switched out of standby, the controller will switch out of standby (if in standby) and select the relevant input – Tuner or CD.

3.4 When a source select key is pressed on the remote control (CD or Tuner), the controller will switch out of standby and go to the selected input. At the same time the relevant unit will also be switched out of standby.

3.5 Power Saving Mode: After listening to a CD (say) and switching to a different input on the controller, the CD player will be switched into standby after a 10 minute delay. A My-Linked Tuner will operate in a similar way.
